What we collect to run Caught Stealing Recruiting, who it goes to, and how to get it back or get rid of it. We never sell it.

What we collect

Account information: name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash — we never see it). If you already have a Caught Stealing account, signing in verifies your existing email and password and links the two accounts.

Athlete profile information you enter: graduation year, high school, height and weight, positions, GPA and academics, showcase metrics you self-report, about-me text, social links, and your high-school and summer coach contacts.

Athletic metrics recorded by the Caught Stealing PRO100™ in the Caught Stealing app — pop time, throw velocity, exchange and distance — mirrored onto your profile and marked verified.

Film and documents you upload: video from your camera roll or YouTube links, transcripts and class schedules.

Purchase records: what you bought and when, and the access code issued to your account. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.

How we use it

To run the service: build your recruiting profile, match you against college programs, and generate the recruiting card you send to coaches.

To send transactional email — your access code, password resets, and receipts.

To keep the service working and secure: diagnosing errors, preventing abuse, and enforcing purchase limits.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share athlete data with third parties for their marketing.

Who we share it with

Coaches you choose. Your profile is private by default; it reaches a college coach only when you send it, from your own mail app, to a coach you picked.

Service providers who run parts of the platform on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (website hosting), and Apple and Google (app distribution and, if you enable them, push notifications).

Nobody else, unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

Children's privacy

Most of our athletes are minors. An account for an athlete under 13 must be created and managed by a parent or guardian, and that parent or guardian can review, correct or delete the athlete's information at any time by contacting us.

There is no public profile page and no athlete directory. Nothing about an athlete is browsable on the web, and nothing is shared publicly.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, metrics, film and documents at any time in the app.

You can delete your account from Account → Delete account in the app. That removes your profile, your uploaded film and documents, and your login. Your separate Caught Stealing account is untouched.

You can request a copy of your data by email and we will respond within 30 days, keeping only what the law requires us to retain (for example, payment records).

Data retention and security

We keep your profile for as long as your account exists. Purchase records are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting providers. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run the service.

Terms of Service

The deal between you and Caught Stealing LLC.

The agreement

Caught Stealing Recruiting is operated by Caught Stealing LLC. By creating an account or using the app or this website you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf and is responsible for the account.

Your account

One account per athlete. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account.

Everything you enter must be true. Misrepresenting your metrics, academics or eligibility to a college coach is grounds for us closing the account.

Don't upload anything you don't have the right to upload, and don't upload anything that isn't about your own recruiting.

Subscription and billing

Access is sold as an annual term, purchased on this website and billed through Stripe. Buying grants an access code that unlocks the app for your term.

The term does not auto-renew into a different price without notice; if we change the price, it applies to your next term, never the one you already paid for.

Refunds: email info@caughtstealing.com. If the service isn't doing what you expected, tell us and we will make it right.

What the service does and doesn't promise

We help you present your numbers and reach coaches. We do not promise exposure, offers, scholarships, roster spots, or a coach's reply. No recruiting service can.

Verified metrics are shown exactly as the Caught Stealing PRO100™ recorded them. We do not recalculate, average or adjust them, and we do not warrant a device's accuracy — that is a measurement question for the hardware, not a claim we make about your numbers.

Recruiting rules, contact windows and eligibility requirements are provided as general guidance from the published NCAA calendar. They change. Always confirm with your school's compliance office and the relevant eligibility center.

College program and coach contact information comes from public sources and can be out of date.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape, resell or redistribute our college program or coach data. Don't use the coach email feature to send anything other than your own recruiting outreach.

Don't attempt to access another athlete's data, break our authentication, or interfere with the service.

Your content

Your profile, film and documents are yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store them, show them to you, and put them into the recruiting card you choose to send.

We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from the app. Deleting mid-term does not entitle you to a refund of the unused portion, though you can always ask.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your term.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Caught Stealing LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Caught Stealing LLC is organized.

Changes and contact

We will post any change to these terms on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
